Last updated: May 10, 2026

These Terms govern your use of PermitFocus ("the Service"), operated by PermitFocus ("we", "us"), based in Tampa, Florida, USA. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

PermitFocus provides building-permit data, builder identification, demographic context, and decision tools (county scoring, location analysis, watchlists, exports) to business users. The data is sourced primarily from US Census Bureau, county permit portals, state contractor-license registries, and other publicly available records.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Data accuracy

PermitFocus assembles, normalizes, and scores public-records data. Public records can be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. We make no guarantee that any particular permit, builder, or score is correct as of any specific moment. Don't make irreversible business decisions on our data alone — verify anything you're about to act on.

6. Your data

Your watchlists, CRM notes, saved analyses, and account info are yours. We don't sell, share, or aggregate your usage data with third parties. See the Privacy Policy for details. You can request export or deletion of your data at any time by emailing cameronelsea517@gmail.com.

7. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but make no specific availability guarantee on Starter or Pro plans. Enterprise plans may include a contractual SLA. Maintenance windows, ingest delays, and source-side outages (county portals, Census website, etc.) can cause temporary gaps.

8. Termination

You can cancel any time from settings or by emailing us. We can suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these Terms with reasonable notice (or immediately for fraud, security, or legal reasons). On termination, you can export your data for 30 days; after that, we may delete it.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PermitFocus is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties beyond what's required by law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes get 30 days' notice via email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida.
